Kipar Kruno Vrgoč se je rodil 12. septembra 1957 v Strizirepu pri Sinju v Dalmaciji. Kot otrok se je preseli na Reko, kjer je leta 1989 zaključil likovno umetnost na Filozofski fakulteti, kjer sta nanj močno vplivala kiparja Josip Diminič in Žarko Violić. Že kot študent je sodeloval na razstavah skupine ‘Pet R’ na Reki, na Mediteranskem kiparskem simpoziju v Labinu leta 1985 in 1986 ter na Bienalu mladih v Pazinu leta 1986 in 1987. Po povratku iz Vidma, Pariza in Berlina leta se 1997 ponovno vrne k skulpturi in ustvari prvo javno delo iz odpadnega železa v Buzetu, kasneje v Roču in na Reki. Odmevna je bila njegova samostojna razstava in multimedijski dogodek v galeriji Kortil leta 1998 na Reki. Od leta 1999 organizira projekt Bravaria Art Remont, pri katerem je doslej sodelovalo okrog petdeset umetnikov iz Hrvaške in tujine. Pripravil je več samostojnih razstav, sodeloval na številnih skupinskih razstavah, kolonijah, delavnica na Hrvaškem in v tujini. Za svoje delo je prejel več priznanj in nagrad. Ukvarja se s kiparstvom monumentalnih razsežnosti predvsem v železu in aluminiju, opazne so tudi njegove risbe. Živi in dela v Poreču na Hrvaškem.

Sculptor Kruno Vrgoč was born 12 September 1957 in the village of Strizirep in the Croatian coastal region called Dalmatia. His family later moved to Rijeka where he artist graduated at the Faculty of Letters, Department of Fine Arts in 1989. During this period, his work was influenced by sculptors Josip Diminič and Žarko Violić. As a student Vrgoč exhibited at the exhibitions of the »Five R« group which were both organised in Rijeka, in 1985 and 1986 at the Mediterranean sculpture symposium in Labin, and in 1986 and 1987 at the Paris Bienale of Young Artists. After Vrgoč had returned from Udine, Paris, and Berlin, he turned back to sculpture in 1997 and created the first public iron sculpture in Buzet. He later made two similar sculptures placed in Roč and Rijeka. His single exhibition held in Kortil Gallery in 1990 was a noted and eminent multimedia event. Since 1999 Vrgoč has been conducting the Bravaria Art Remont project which has so far attracted approximately 50 artists from Croatia and other countries. The artist has also exhibited at a number of solo and group exhibitions and attended many workshops in Croatia and abroad. He has received several awards for his work in the filed of art. Kruno Vrgoč creates monumental sculptures in aluminium and iron, and is also known for his excellent drawings. The artist lives and works in Poreč, Croatia.
